About Bobcats:

The bobcat (Lynx rufus) is a widespread, adaptable predator found throughout Colorado. They thrive in the foothills, canyons, and mesas, but can be seen regularly in urban areas. Distinguished by their distinct “bobbed” tail, spotted coat, wide, flat face, and long fur on the tips of ears and alongside their cheeks. 

Size- Length: 32-37” Weight: 20-24 pounds Tail: 6” long

Diet: Opportunistic hunters; rabbits, hares, rodents. But also birds, fawns, squirrels, and sometimes carrion (dead animals).

Fun Fact: They are the most common wildcat found in Colorado.
